Y2 Analytics is a survey research and data analysis group consisting of a partnership between Dave Hansen, Quin Monson, and Kelly Patterson.
Mr. Hansen most recently managed Senator Orrin Hatch’s campaign and has served in numerous other political roles, including Executive Director and Chairman of the Utah Republican Party, the Republican National Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Dr. Monson has a Ph.D. in political science from Ohio State University, and Dr. Patterson has a Ph.D. in political science from Columbia University.
Together they have many years of academic and political polling experience in Utah and throughout the United States. Y2’s combination of talents and experience serves political, government, public affairs, and corporate clients in Utah and throughout the country.

Dave Hansen is recognized as a leading political consultant across the country. In 2012 he was the campaign manager for Senator Orrin Hatch’s successful reelection campaign. Besides managing or being involved in numerous campaigns over the years he has also served as Chairman of the Utah Republican Party, Member of the Republican National Committee, Executive Director of both the Utah and Montana Republican parties, Political Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee. Campaign and Elections Magazine named Dave as one of the five most influential Republican political operatives in Utah. Dave did his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and graduate work at the University of Utah. He taught school at both Layton and Clearfield High School in Utah. He also served as Deputy Lt. Governor for Utah from 1985-91.
